Hey Boulder Valley Legends!

Good morning from the land where the mountains wake up before your alarm clock—and probably do yoga while judging your coffee order.

It’s November 3rd, the official start of “Sweater Weather or Secret Summer?” season. If you left the house in flip-flops and came back wearing a parka, congratulations—you’re officially a local.

Grab your ballot, your reusable mug, and maybe a light jacket (or three), because we’ve got elections heating up & pumpkins plotting revenge in the compost.

Let’s roll—because in Boulder, even the news comes with a side of altitude.

Ladies, just in time for the Holidays!
  • It's an indoor market-so open rain, shine or snow, which makes it particularly nice for a fall/early winter outing.
  • A large bake sale (Boulder Mountain Bakes) with treats.
  • Opportunities to meet or see the local fire department (Boulder Mountain Fire Department) with fire engine tours.
  • Free parking, stroller and wheelchair accessible venue.

Boulder's housing crisis gets a vital lift with the opening of Hawthorn Court, the newest affordable complex by Boulder Housing Partners.

This development on Hawthorn Avenue features 73 family-oriented units in two contemporary buildings.

Eight units are dedicated to those exiting homelessness, underscoring community support.

Eligibility targets earners at 40-60% of median income, roughly $42,000-$63,000 annually for singles.

Rents range from $1,695 for one-bedrooms to $1,971 for two-bedrooms, including utilities and Wi-Fi.

Amenities include in-unit laundry, granite countertops, rooftop decks, and breathtaking Flatirons views.

Located in lively Glenwood Grove-North Iris near 28th Street, it integrates with a mural-adorned design and communal courtyard.

Leaders emphasize deeper affordability, focusing on lower-income impacts over sheer numbers.

Following Rally Flats, upcoming projects like a 115-unit site and others at 34th Street and Alpine-Balsam will add over 200 units.

With 700+ affordable spots planned, Boulder advances toward easing housing woes for locals.

Hawthorn Court shines as a symbol of progress amid rising costs.

In Boulder County, officials are enhancing wildfire defenses by integrating ditches into mitigation strategies.

This initiative aims to protect communities from destructive blazes amid rising climate threats.

Specialist David Garcia and his team cleared vast amounts of dead branches and brush along Farmer's Ditch near Orange Orchard in north Boulder, removing hundreds of cubic yards.

Collaborating with the city, they also tackled a neglected ditch in Gunbarrel, hauling away even more hazardous material.

Launched under a year ago, the program targets high-risk areas like Louisville, Lafayette, and Superior, still recovering from the devastating 2021 Marshall Fire that destroyed over 1,000 homes and took lives.

Residents welcome these efforts as crucial safeguards.

Additional measures include forest thinning at Hall Ranch and Rabbit Mountain, plus grazing and mowing in grasslands.

Backed by a 2022 sales tax with a $200,000 annual budget, the program offers up to $500 rebates for homeowners and over $1.6 million in community grants.

With fire restrictions recently lifted, focus remains on proactive maintenance and partnerships with ditch companies for sustained resilience.

These steps provide hope against escalating wildfire risks in the region.

What benefits have you seen for people over the age of 80?

My Mom is 80. She fell and broke her shoulder nearly a year ago. She had shoulder surgery and recovered well; however, she experiences days of extreme shoulder pain. She also has arthritis and has had pain in her knees.
She has been patching for 3 weeks with X39, and just started using Ice Wave. She is feeling SO much better! The first day of both patches, she called me to say she couldn’t believe how well they worked! No problems standing up and no more pain in shoulder or knees. She has thyroid issues. I’m curious to see how these patches help her the longer she wears them. She is also now a Brand Ambassador, first “career” of her life!
Where are you placing the X39 and IceWave patches? Are you using them during the same 12 hour period? Thank you.

X39 on top vertebrae below neck and Ice Wave next to or on the location of pain. Both 12 hrs at a time. Mom wears the Ice Wave longer though.
For me, the X39 alone helped my back pain within the first day, and it hasn’t returned since then.

Great Question
Happy to report my mom is 85
Better stamina not weak in the mornings
Neuropathy gone on lower legs
Breathing better( afib stable)
Even after 3 failed cardioversion attempts
Stands up straighter
Not using her walker!!!
Reduction of heart med by 4 mg ( cardiologist said keep doing what you are doing)
So we are grateful!!!!!

I'm turning 72 in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to get my life back! I've been on X39 for a little over a month and just started feeling better.

My 89 year old father is my caregiver. He will be 90 end of October. He started on X-39 in April 21, 2025 which gave him solid sleep at night, dreams, and more energy. He added Aeon May 15, 2025 and X-49 4 days ago (June 26, 2025).

He has old ( over 15 years in his knee and 11 years in his hip) replacement parts on his left leg which caused him to be unsteady as they feel “loose”.

After X-49 was added to his patching regimen, using X-39 X-49 together, he is steadier, walking along balanced with no aids.

Longmont resident Bob Rundle recently celebrated his 100th birthday at his family farmhouse in unincorporated Boulder County.

Surrounded by family, he reflected on the area's transformation from a quiet rural spot to a bustling city.

Traffic has increased dramatically, but Rundle emphasizes the enduring kindness of locals.

His family's homestead dates back to the 1870s, now recognized as a Colorado Centennial Farm.

Born in Brighton, Rundle endured the Great Depression, farmed sugar beets in Weld County, and graduated from Longmont High School.

He met his late wife Jane there, sharing 60+ years together, while pursuing photography in his youth.

Longmont's population has grown from 9,000 in his childhood to a vibrant community with events like farmers markets and cultural celebrations.

Upcoming developments, including library improvements and elections, highlight ongoing progress.

His daughter Marian Worth expressed pride in her father's resilience and the heartfelt connections that define Longmont's heritage.
