A Special Young Baker Who Deserves Our Support This Holiday Season

 

This holiday season, I want to spotlight a young woman in our community, Marina Dyer-a devoted young mother doing everything she can to provide for her little baby while sharing her beautiful gift for baking with all of us.  

Yesterday, I bought some of Marina's homemade sugar cookies and peanut-butter cookies, and they were warm, soft and lovingly made. Something made by a woman who truly cares.

 

Marina doesn't have a storefront, a staff or a big business behind her.  What she does have is determination, talent and a genuine spirit.  She bakes late at night, after her baby is asleep, putting her love and effort into every batch just to help support her family.

 

These are the kinds of people who enrich our community-the quiet, hardworking ones who show up every day and give the best of themselves.
