Longmont's Loneliest Sweetheart: Why a Senior Dog Named Ginger is Waiting for You

In a city focused on growth and new beginnings, one gentle soul is hoping for a quiet chapter. Meet Ginger, a senior dog at the Longmont Humane Society with nothing but love left to give.

Meet Ginger, a distinguished lady of a certain age

She’s not old — she’s vintage.

This sweet senior has mastered the fine art of:

  • Power naps (Olympic level)

  • Judging you lovingly from the couch

  • Waking up only for snacks, walks, and compliments

She doesn’t chew shoes.
She doesn’t dig holes.
She doesn’t need constant chaos.

What she does need:

  • A soft bed

  • A human who understands that 7:30pm is a perfectly reasonable bedtime

  • Someone willing to say “Who’s a good girl?” at least 12 times a day

Her hobbies include slow walks, sunbeams, gentle ear scratches, and pretending she didn’t hear you when it’s time to get up.

Adopting her means:

  • Skipping the puppy stage

  • Getting a calm, grateful best friend

  • Being someone’s entire world in the best possible way

She’s ready to retire into love.
All she’s missing… is you.
